Save Elephant Foundation’s flagship sanctuary, Elephant Nature Park, is currently home to 111 rescued elephants. Each elephant needs to eat about 10% of its body weight every day and on average it costs US$30 per elephant per day just to keep the elephants’ bellies full!

Thai Googlers help 11 elephants
Recently, we welcomed the team from Google, Thailand to Elephant Nature Park to host a live educational event for their employees.
It was a wonderful interactive opportunity to share knowledge about elephant welfare and conservation with Thai Googlers.
Donations made by employees during the event will help to sponsor 11 elephants at Save Elephant Foundation.
Thank you Google, Thailand for your support of the elephants.

Save Elephant Foundation is a Thai non–profit organization dedicated to providing care and assistance to Thailand’s captive elephant population through a multifaceted approach involving rescue and rehabilitation programs, educational ecotourism, local community outreach and environmental conservation programs.
Save Elephant Foundation’s flagship sanctuary, Elephant Nature Park, is currently home to 111 rescued elephants. Each elephant needs to eat about 10% of its body weight every day and on average it costs US$30 per elephant per day just to keep the elephants’ bellies full!
Example of cost for one elephant:
- $50 - daily care per day for elephant: food & mahout
- $350 - weekly care per day for elephant: food & mahout
- $1,500 - fully supports an elephant for 1 month to have the best possible care & nutrition
- $6,000 - supports a mahout (elephant care-giver) and his family for 1 year
- $15,000 - fully supports an elephant and mahout for 1 year to have the best possible care & nutrition
